Good Paying Jobs with Benefits

My mother was a school bus driver, although her job helped provide for our family, it did not provide health insurance or a retirement plan back in the day. Today, we have people who are still experiencing the same inadequate job market.

 

COVID-19 had a profound impact on businesses small and large so we need to get back on track!

 

What I’ve done so far:

I helped local businesses gain access to GAP financing that resulted in hundreds of jobs. I also facilitated the creation of two funds that helped companies meet payroll and pay rent during the pandemic while the second fund helped individuals with food and utilities.

 

What I’ll do next:

Work with local and regional partners to help small businesses open, stay open and grow. I will also work on a national level to attract and retain larger companies with a commitment to hire locally.
